Cristina Socorro

My start in the dining room was helping the maitre d’ to go over plates and cutlery, learning all the details of a profession that I am really passionate about.

I was trained in oenology, cheese and Canarian gastronomy in some wonderful courses of the Cabildo, which made these subjects captivate me more and more and I discovered that the dining room is my true vocation.

In 1998 I met Pablo, who introduced me to haute cuisine, where I learned new techniques and ways of working with all kinds of wonderful ingredients. In addition to cooking, I discovered the world of wine, which has become a great passion for me. So I decided to train as a sommelier and to do many tastings, tasting and analyzing new wines that awakened my interest in the culture behind each bottle.

Pablo and I worked together for years, first in Tenerife, Barcelona and then in Malaga. Later, Pablo founded La Antxoeta, where I joined by contributing my experience.

Today, La Antxoeta is our home. We take care of every detail to offer a special experience.
